The Jordan Education Initiative (JEI) has been awarded the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education. The JEI was nominated for the Prize by Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, and was chosen from among 39 projects in 29 countries. |
| The award ceremony was held in the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris under the patronage of the Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa on the 26th of January. The award was presented to the JEI Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Haif Bannayan, by His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and Ms. Irina Bokova, the Director-General of UNESCO. | |
