Education has a profound impact on the way people live and the choices available to them during their lifetimes. While the process of educating our youth is complex and often enormously challenging, the rewards it brings to learners, educators, administrators, and society as a whole can't be overstated. Cisco recognizes that a holistic approach to education has the potential to significantly enhance the welfare of individuals, their families, and their communities. Through our education programs, we've seen this happen firsthand-in U.S. Gulf coast regions destroyed by hurricanes, in Middle East regions ravaged by war, and in parts of Africa devastated by conflict and disease. When education is restored and improved, the quality of life also improves. Cisco is committed to applying what we have learned from our programs in these regions in crisis to help reform and renew education throughout the world.
