The Office of UNESCO at Dakar and Regional office for education in Africa, more known under initials BREDA, is the largest office of UNESCO in Africa. Dual mandate is reserved for him. As a Regional office for education, the BREDA covers the whole of sub-Saharan Africa, that is to say 46 countries. In the capacity as Office multi-country, he assumes the representation of the Organization in four countries of West Africa: Cape Verde, Gambia, the Guinea-Bissau and Senegal. For these countries, its responsibility extends to all the fields of competence for UNESCO, namely, education, the natural science, social sciences and human, the culture, the communication and information. The partners of the BREDA are the Member States, the System of the United Nations, the Organizations Internationales (OIG), the Organizations Non Gouvernementales (ONG) and all the people and institutions engaged in activities concerned with the fields of competence of the Organization.
