About the Role
POSITION : Project Coordinator – Orange Foundation
REPORTING TO : Executive Director
DEPARTMENT : Orange Foundation
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Portray the company as a multi-services provider, the leader in the telecoms business, Liberia’s number one operator in terms of Philanthropy. Managing the hearts and minds of Liberians in this direction. To build on a strong program of sustainable social investment in a variety of projects in the areas of Women, education, health, environment, community development, and promoting local entrepreneurs.
To promote our brand image and become the partner of choice for key stakeholders including the government of Liberia.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Formalize Orange Liberia Foundation with the support of Orange Group Foundation under the supervision of the Foundation Director.
Set a Foundation strategy and plan the yearly activities based on Strategy.
Keep an excellent relationship with all stakeholders/partners involved in Foundation activity with the company.
Support in preparing the Foundation budget based on the strategic plan.
Review and formalize the policies & processes necessary for the effective implementation of Foundation activities.
Ensure sustainable partnerships and funding with potential development partners.
Support in planning and managing the execution of all proactive and reactive Foundation activities.
Ensure Employee buy-in and participation in all Foundation activities.
Ensure the active engagement and participation of the Sales & Distribution, OM, Marketing & Communication, HR, and Finance teams in all Foundation activities.
Support in managing the monitoring and analysis of Foundation requests with a view to recommending and implementing the appropriate response(s).
Provide inputs on Foundation activities to the PR unit for robust institutional communication/campaign.
Prepare and submit Board pack timely for quarterly Foundation Board as and when required.
Manage the Foundation section at Orange’s website, and all social presence (Twitter/FB and Instagram) ensuring it is always kept updated.
Support in providing coaching and request needed training for direct reports ensuring continuous individual development.
Support in ensuring a healthy working environment for the department employees through focusing on team building and motivation initiatives.
Follow up on team members’ attendance, timesheets and leaves.
Encourage team participation in HR engagement programs.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor degree preferably in a social science-related discipline
Experience:
At least 5 years project coordination/management experience in a reputable organization, preferably not-for-profit (NGO).
Strong experience in managing relationships with government institutions and other external stakeholders, NGO’s and Development Organizations
Strong experience in developing Foundation and external communication strategies
Good experience of working across inter-departmental teams
