About the Role

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for setting and tracking Key Performance Indicators and objectives. He/She will be instrumental in providing forward looking analysis and financial recommendations to the senior leadership team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate good business acumen, strong analytical and data gathering skills and will be a self-starter individual with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

ABOUT THE TEAM

You will work remotely under the direction of the CFO, with strong collaborative ties to the rest of the finance and accounting team.

You will collaborate with different teams across the organization, at different levels of seniority.

ABOUT THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

You have experience building financial models, a passion to learn and grow and are well known for your high attention to detail. You are looking forward to working in a highly autonomous role, using project management skills. The following are, among others, the main responsibilities that apply to the position:

  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.

  • Report on financial / business performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting (revenues, expenditures and cash flows).

  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans, forecasts, market and comparable companies

  • Escalates any financial issues to management.

  • Recommend actions and strategies for optimization and increase of financial performance

  • Create financial models for decision support

  • Assist managers in developing and analyzing financial models for the financial profitability of their departments or projects

  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards and the implementation of business intelligence tools

  • Assist and support in special projects (M&A, process optimization, market research, capital allocation, etc..

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience

  • Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query/data management tools (Access, SQL, PowerBI…)

  • BA, BS, or B.Com degree required

Other nice things to have are:

  • MBAs or Masters Degree

  • Experience working as a consultant (Audit Big 4, Strategy Consulting Firms, internal corporate consulting…)
