About the Role
The Position.
Under the general supervision of the Group Head of People & Culture, the successful HR Manager will be expected to lead Easy Solar’s effort to design and implement programs for recruitment and retention, performance management, and professional development, amongst other things. They will provide support in the day to day employee relations activities for all Easy Solar employees across the country, in collaboration with the rest of the Human Resources Management Team. This role will provide business partnership and support to other divisions within Easy Solar. They will initiate and implement change management initiatives as well as communicate the ethos of Easy Solar’s values. The HR Management team will be expected to work within the provisions and frameworks of Sierra Leone Labor Laws.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Provide oversight of the HR Management Team
Draft and monitor the HR budget
Prepare annual workforce & recruitment plans
Lead, design and implement/monitor Talent Management frameworks for recruitment and retention, professional development and performance management.
Lead and coordinate the HR Management team
Provide regular reports on key HR and People Management activities and KPIs
Organize and attend job/career fairs and other events
Responsible to develop, co-ordinate and implement employee engagement activities
Furthermore, an integral part of the HR Manager’s role is to support nationwide staff through different initiatives:
Monitoring and Evaluation of Shops, quarterly field visits for appraisals and reporting
Participate in shop openings and promotional events.
Recommend Trainings for Field staff in basic admin duties (documentation)
Quarterly workshops on relationship building with Brand Ambassadors, Sales Supervisors, Field Operations Assistants
Qualifications
BSc/BA degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration (MBA a plus)
Proven experience as HR Manager/Talent Manager for at least 5 -10 years.
Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office
