About the Role


ALU is looking for a data-driven marketing technology expert to lead and optimise our student experience and journey, leveraging technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of MarTech platforms and automation strategies through various marketing technologies.


  • Setting up marketing systems and tools. You will manage the marketing automation team, and other sales and marketing technologies  to build repeatable processes and routines for generating B2C sales.

  • Optimizing marketing operations (materials, processes, systems, and data) to drive excellent execution.

  • Developing and implementing automated email campaigns, e.g. lead nurture campaigns, test and optimize email metrics, templates and forms, as well as email messaging/creative approaches for increasing ROI while reducing customer acquisition costs.

  • Ensuring the proper use of marketing automation system such as Salesforce & Marketing Cloud.

  • Supporting marketing initiatives with integrated ad campaigns and social media campaigns on our social media advertising including lead source segmentation & monthly, seasonal and ongoing campaigns.

  • Ensuring research and analytics tools and dashboards are in place and operational to enable tracking of key marketing metrics relating to brand, user experience and stakeholder engagement. This will include data management through data cleanliness, segmentation, and automation of campaigns. You will be required to have a solid grasp of the data segments that are selected for each campaign and fully understand how that data is being used to support lead generation and business objectives.

  • Actively supporting the Student Recruitment team to create concrete and scalable journeys with high conversion rates.

  • Manage ongoing ExactTarget/Marketing Cloud implementation, troubleshoot system errors and provide user support

  • Develop and execute marketing programs that use Marketing Cloud apps such as Email Studio, Automation Studio and Journey Builder

  • Manage the web assets like the ALU website, landing pages, and other digital assets.

  • Manage the virtual content platforms for things like webinars, video hosting, or other interactive experiences like a marketing quiz or survey, for example.


  • Demonstrated  expertise in marketing automation processes and campaign management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Technology, or related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within a digital marketing environment.

  • Strong technical understanding of marketing technologies and marketing automation principles.

  • Must have experience with Adobe Launch, Google Analytics, and other Tag Manager platforms.

  • Experience leading implementations with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, web analytics platform (ex. Google / Adobe Analytics) and media buying platforms (ex. Google, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)

  • Ability to analyse data and create reports with findings.

  • Produce high quality and quantity of work product, occasionally under tight timelines.

  • Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities as necessary.
